On iPhone 6s plus when minimized and then brought back from the background the app hangs with no controls visible. Also - theres no neutral colour of the background available.

Butt with a few bug which require app restart occasionally

First, as a long time apple and iphone user I want to say that the stock music app on iphone has gotten consistently worse with each update. No longer is it simple and user friendly. It is designed around shoving apple music/radio, etc, down your throat instead of making it simple, easy, and fun to listen to the music you already own as it was in the past. It has more and more flaws with each update. So in my frustration with apples app I tested many music players off the app store. Beat is what apple music app should be. More like the ipod app of old. For someone like me who has hundreds of artists and thousands of songs it is annoying (b/c of album art and large font taking up half the screen) to only see 4 or 5 artists/songs on screen when scrolling through them. With Beat you can see many more at once. I love the simplicity of this app. Very nice flow to it. Well done. 2 minor things I would recommend are listing artists that have the word "The" in front of their name alphabetically by their main title. For instance, placing The Beatles not in the T section but in the B section. Or The Killers in K not in T. Becomes inconvenient when many groups have The in front of their name. My other recommendation would be to allow you to fast forward/rewind with the scroll bar on the lock screen instead of having to unlock your phone, access the app, and then hold the screen to pull up the scroll wheel. Other than those minor issues you guys killed it. Great job.

I downloaded this app because I was sick and tired of the confusion from the disaster that is Apple Music. I just wanted a simple music player to play my stored library, and this app meets my needs. Im actually glad the songs arent sorted by album under the "Artist" view, because I like to listen to the entire discography, and I was fed up that I couldnt do that with Apple Music. If there were an option for both views, that would be okay too, I suppose. I like the apps simplicity and touch screen functions, but I can tell its still under some development. When pairing with my Bluetooth devices, sometimes the app glitches, and the screen goes blank. I cant access my other music files. In addition, I feel like the music player "shuffle all" mode doesnt actually include all songs on the selected playlist in the rotation. I find myself listening to the same 10 songs and having to skip until it hits a different track. Monkey Bits is apparently working on a second version of the app, so hopefully well see some improvements when that one is released.

Okay so I downloaded the app and it looks pretty cool... But where do I get the music? Im trying to find out where to find music and I cant? Am I stupid?

This app is amazing; I love the simplicity of it and all of the gesture controls are great. I want so badly to use this all the time over the standard music app but there is one major bug with the app. When the app is suspended but not closed, returning to the app frequently causes a loading prompt followed by the entire display disappearing. The music plays on but the song title, artist, everything disappears. Please fix this! The app is great otherwise!

Somewhat better than built in music player but where theres no way I could search my song. Would be great if there option to show control buttons

This app is beautiful to look at and I love the controls. However, it just randomly stops working for no obvious reason all the time. If I lock my iPod or it locks itself, when I open the app again, it gets this weird little image in the middle and I cant use any of the controls anymore. I have to close the app and relaunch it. I also find that with playlists, it wont always play all the songs in my playlist. It cycles through only a small number of them. Ive tried to be as patient as possible but I just cant deal with these issues anymore. I will be deleting this app and looking for something that works properly.

It does what it says. Simply one of the best. I love the minimalistic feature of this application.

Simple interface, just what I was looking for. Easy to find and play music. Nice "themes" Supper buggy. Screen blanks out sometimes. Sometimes unresponsive. No horizontal screen view. Touch controls can be confusing sometimes. Again, super buggy but better than Apple Music and its free so there is that.

how can you even add music??

It would be nice if I could get past the opening logo without the program crashing
