Beat - Music player App Reviews

This app gets everything right. But when Im using google maps in landscape mode, I want to flip to this app and IN LANDSCAPE MODE control my music. Still looking for an app to to this.

This app is the best music player Ive tried on any mobile platform. It is simple and very quick. The gesture controls work well and the interface is functional and attractive. I love this music player. Only complaint is that it is a little slow to open initially but once it is open everything is very snappy.

I couldnt stand the new player in ios8, so downloaded this, but it never worked. Wont play anything and the U.I is frustrating.

I dont know why but I am not able to search for anything so I currently have 0 songs

How do u out music in it and can u listen to music without wifi? CONFUSED not sure how to get music Can someone tell me,that would be HELPFUL!?!?

Ive been searching for an alternative to the iOS music app for a long, long time. I was never looking for something to give me free music, or a subscription service alternative. I just wanted a slick, clean music player, with none of the bloated functionality the likes of iTunes and competitors have evolved into. Beat is exactly that. Sweet and snappy UI. Plays all of the music that I upload to my phone as normal; no hurdles required. Its not perfect, sure. Searching by Artist pools all of said artists songs into an alphabetical mess, rather than sorting by album. Theres also a pretty big bug with multitasking that locks me out of the media control, forcing an app restart. But I received an email regarding Beat 2, this apps successor, being well into development and approaching release. So heres hoping thats all sorted. Until then, this is my staple replacement for music. 8.5/10

Maybe its just me, but an easy search directly accessible from the first view controller would be a nice addition. Also, the app should minimally remember what I last played, album, artists, etc. And proper adaptation of the code for larger IPhones would be a great plus. All and all much better than Apples horrible music app. Worst app ever.

Sometimes Im playing my music, my app screen just suddenly goes blank, no play sign and no song name. The music also stops playing.

Title says it all. With where iTunes and the iOS media player are headed, simplifying the process does a lot to endear this to me. Do wish I could make album art larger in-app though

really good app! works really well! the sound is perfect ! but i thought i could download free music on it but apparently when i first opened the app, it was all my library! but still a great alternative to iOS 8 music app. definetly an app to download !
